If you are writing a novel, I admire you already. You can imagine a whole world of characters who experience their lives on your pages. They’re all different, and they’re all real (unless you say that they are not). The commitment is a long one; it can be lonely and frustrating. If you feel that you are juggling fifty balls in the air, and you must not drop one of them, it is time to ask for help. While I cannot write your novel for you, I can guide your juggling and maybe even catch a few of those balls. You are the artist. You are telling the story. My job is to keep you focused on that story, to keep you on track, to help you tell it as clearly and as arrestingly as only you can tell it.

I get inside of every novel I read; I get inside of its characters, and I hear their voices. But I also want to know what your characters do and why they do it. I can help you to layer your characters and to make them real, giving each a unique voice. I have a good eye for the shape, scope, and detail of a novel as it progresses. I can find loose strings left untied, and I can encourage you to cut away the clutter that can impede the pace of an exciting story. I’ll always have my eyes on your story while I work with you. All of the edited work will be sent back to you with text markings and notes, and you will rewrite with ease and with satisfaction. I also hold the keys to your occasional writer’s block. I can open that door for you whenever it seems closed.
